OMS acquires manning arm

Offshore Marine Services (OMS) has acquired the manning division of Seabulk from Seabulk Offshore Dubai (a division of Seacor Holdings), the company has announced as part of the company’s continued global growth strategy.
The company said, the business will be absorbed into and trade as OMS which reinforces the international oil and gas marine and drilling support service contractor’s commitment to its Middle East activities operating out of Dubai.
Seabulk Offshore Staffing has been operating for 12 years and is a well established provider of manpower solutions in the Middle East region.
“This is a crucial time for resources and expertise, and our acquisition of Seabulk’s manning division means that we are greatly improving our capacity in line with the demands of the market. Over the past 12 years, Seabulk has built up a significant portfolio working with a variety of international blue chip contractors operating in the Middle East,” said OMS director of operations, Dubai, Steve Taylor.
OMS Group companies currently operate out of Aberdeen, Malta, Dubai, Singapore, New Zealand and Perth, Australia, with worldwide group sales forecast to exceed US $250 million to June 2008.
The Offshore Marine Services group offers a global solution to the industry’s manning and marine requirements. Core activities are the worldwide recruitment and supply of experienced personnel to the offshore drilling and marine industries, this includes offshore support vessel crewing, manning and management.
The company also operates its own fleet of offshore supply and support vessels. |
