Lindenberg wins $157 million contract Abu Dhabi

Lindenberg Water and Drainage Division won its largest contract entitled “Water Transmission Scheme from Sas Al Nakheel (UAN) Junction to Sadiyat/Abu Dhabi Island”.

The contract, worth $157 million is with the Abu Dhabi Transmission and Despatch Company (Transco), subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (Adwea).

Lindenberg will provide the design, engineering, supply and construction, testing and commissioning of onshore and offshore ductile iron and carbon steel pipelines complete with valves and fittings, etc. and associated instrumentation, electrical, civil and earth works. Works are scheduled to start by February 2008 and to be completed by 18 months period.

Sadiyat Island, 500 meters off the coast of Abu Dhabi, is a $ 27 billion world class master planned development infrastructure comprising investment opportunities in residential, business, cultural and leisure sectors, expected to be completed in 2018.
