Engineering consultants and training provider, Jee Limited, has announced it is responding to industry demand and expanding its pipeline, riser and subsea engineering courses to run in Abu Dhabi in 2008.
Managing Director Trevor Jee, an engineer with over twenty five years’ experience will personally present two of the inaugural courses in March, the company has announced.
Foundation level courses will provide an in-depth understanding of subsea pipelines, production systems, risers, umbilicals and flexibles. Practitioner level courses will address the skills and knowledge required for the design, construction and operation and integrity management of subsea pipelines and risers.
The courses are presented by Jee’s own practising, Chartered engineers, fully trained in teaching techniques and bringing current expertise and years of experience to the classroom.
The move further enforces the company’s growth plans and commitment to raising the standard of skills in the oil and gas industry’s workforce. Managing Director of Jee Limited, Trevor Jee commented “We are excited to take our public courses to the Middle East and to offer five new courses in 2008. As engineers ourselves, we know the technical issues that are faced on a day-to-day basis which is why our courses are designed to ensure delegates return to the workplace with the skills and knowledge they can implement immediately.”
Commenting further on the style of teaching, Trevor Jee confirmed “Our courses are carefully written to aid learning and retention, and to get the most out of every training day. Videos, samples, group discussions and exercises provide a varied and interesting format for learning. Our comprehensive full-colour course notes supplement the classroom teaching and provide a useful reference guide for use back in the office.”
The courses will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Abu Dhabi and will address the skills and knowledge required by engineers and technical staff working in the offshore pipeline industry.
Courses are of three or four days’ duration and are scheduled to run back-to-back, allowing delegates to attend two courses over a two week period if required. |
