Scan to cover more offshore 2D in Pakistan

Seismic data acquisition company, Scan Geophysical ASA have acquired an additional 1250 kilometres of 2D work offshore Pakistan from BP-GEMS, increasing the total work program for the contract to about 11,250 kilometres, a report from the company said.
“We recently re-commenced acquiring the original 9,500 kilometres 2D program and, with this additional work, our vessel, the M/V Geo Searcher, will be engaged for the next four months or so,” said Kjell Karlsson, vice president of sales and marketing for Scan.
Established in 2002, Scan Geophysical ASA specialises in both marine streamer seismic and ocean bottom seismic.
The company is currently operating one 2D and one 3D streamer vessel, and will soon launch one 2002-built 3D vessel and three new-build state-of-the-art 8-10 streamer 3D vessels during 2008-09, according to the statement. |
