OGP new member from Japan

Inpex Holdings Inc has joined the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (OGP), the second member from Japan to join the 65-year old group.
The company, which had it origins in offshore exploration in Indonesia in 1966, is now active in development and production. Though Indonesia remains a core area, the company is recognised as a top-ranking holder of oil and gas assets there, Inpex is also active elsewhere.
In Western Australia the company plans to expand its already sizeable asset base through exploration. In the Caspian Inpex is expanding on the success of its Kashagan discovery through involvement in the ACT project and the BTC pipeline.
Inpex’s Middle East focus includes offshore Dubai and production in Iran . In Brazil the company is in the process of expanding oil production from Albacora and exploring offshore North Campos .
In total, Inpex has interests in 14 countries in partnership with over 30 international companies. The general manager of Inpex’s Corporate Strategy & Planning Unit, Kazuhiko Itano, is the company’s member representative to OGP. |
