New CEO for Enoc group

Saeed Abdullah Khoory was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Enoc, effective December 1, 2007, Enoc has announced under the directive of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the ENOC Board.
Khoory takes over from Hussain Sultan, who retired as Group Chief Executive of Enoc, a position he has held for the last 35 years since the group’s start-up. Under the leadership of Sultan, the company went from strength to strength and the reins are now being given to Khoory.
Commenting on the new appointment, Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Enoc’s Vice Chairman said, “On behalf of the ENOC Board of Directors, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Saeed Khoory to the Enoc family.
With a solid 28 years experience in Adnoc, Khoory is an expert in both upstream and downstream activities in the Emirates and is well placed to be a strategic implementer for ENOC’s growth.”
On his new role, Khoory said, “With the support of Enoc Management and its Board of Directors, we will continue to focus our activities to be an important player in the local and international energy industry.” He further added, “Enoc already operates many international businesses, which will be a major focus of our growth in the future, and will help to extend our excellent brand vision across the world.”
