Oil and gas construction company Derrick Services Ltd (DSL) has announced the accredited approval of the Quality Management System (QMS) to API standards following recent API audit.

The QMS was approved to ISO 9001:2000 and API Spec.Q1 which was achieved without any recordable non-conformances of the DSL Quality Management System.

The Singapore-based company also announced its successful application for API 4F Licensing, becoming the first (and currently) the only API 4F Licensee operating in Singapore.

API Licensing covers the design, engineering, manufacture, and testing of drilling structures and enables the company as a licensed manufacturer, to apply the official API monogram on drilling masts/derricks/sub-structures supplied in accordance with API Product Specification 4F.

API registration and licensing of DSL’s Singapore facility follows previous similar approvals within its Houston and Great Yarmouth facilities and completes the company’s objective of achieving independent API approval within each of DSL’s regional bases.
