Thule Drilling ASA has been granted limited access to the yard and its rigs. The Court of Urgent Matters in the United Arab Emirates has ruled that representatives from Thule Drilling and Noble Denton have gained the right to inspect the rigs and the Thule-owned equipment that is present on the QGM facilities.

The drilling contractor is being penalised by Saudi Aramco for late rig-delivery. Thule is re-constructing a damaged jack-up drilling rig into Thule Power, a modern rig for drilling in 250-foot water depths and down to total depths of 30,000 ft .

The administration and the Board of Thule Drilling deem this ruling as a positive first step to gain full access to the yard. Additional information will be released as the matter is progressing.
