Oilfield services provider AlMansoori Specialized Engineering (MSE) of Abu Dhabi has strengthened its core services and geographic offering by acquiring additional logging assets in Thailand .
The deal sees MSE take ownership of new electronic line, perforating and logging services and assets in the country and enhances MSE’s delivery in providing perforation and cased hole logging solutions to the international oil and gas industry.
A new company, AlMansoori Logging Services ( Thailand ) LTD (MLS) has been formed, headed by managing director Martin Tilbrook. Eight staff have been employed by MLS and more are expected to follow.
MSE is currently working with Thai national oil company PTT to provide perforating services for the onshore S1 field in the Pitt San Ulok region of central Thailand, and with Canadian exploration and production company Pan Orient Energy to deliver perforating and cased hole logging services in the onshore Wichian Bury area 260 km North of Bangkok.
MSE managing director Nabil Alalawi said: “The acquisition of these logging assets is of tremendous significance to us. It enhances our position strategically in South East Asia , and will hopefully provide a springboard for further activity in the region.
“It also strengthens AlMansoori’s business model. It has been our intention to add perforating and cased hole logging to our existing business sectors to create a fully integrated well solutions company. This was evidenced by our acquisition of the Tubing Conveyed Perforation division of Energy Inc in Egypt earlier this year and has been augmented by our current acquisition.” |
