Al Masaood Bergum, Hertel Group form JV

Al Masaood Bergum (AMB) has entered into a formal partnership with the Hertel Group, one of the leading specialist engineering support services contractors, to create AMBhertel, a joint venture to specifically service the oil, gas and petrochemical industries in the UAE and Qatar .
This joint venture will see AMBhertel operate out of Dubai , Abu Dhabi and Qatar . All three operations are being established by Hertel’s Middle East director, Mark Williamson, working alongside AMB’s general manager, Steve McConnachie.
Williamson commented: “The Middle East represents the most strategically-important area of development for the Hertel Group and, through our partnership with AMB, we are already working on a number of significant contracts in the region.
“We wanted to partner with an established and respected company that was a household name within its industry, and we identified this in AMB. This is an exciting time as we move into this vibrant economy and we are confident that AMBhertel will become a leading name as a provider of maintenance services to the oil, gas and (petro) chemical industries.”
AMB, part of the Mohammed Bin Masaood Group of companies, has been established in the UAE since 1978 and in this time has become the region’s leading supplier of pre-fabricated steel and timber frame buildings in the Middle East .
Hertel was established in 1895, had revenue in 2006 in excess of US$ 716 million and has a workforce of over 6400 employees worldwide. They are one of the world leaders within their field providing integrated services, such as insulation, scaffolding, piping and fire protection and combines know-how with operational expertise. |
