BJ wins contract from BG India

BJ Process and Pipeline Services was awarded a contract by BG Exploration and Production India Limited (BGEPIL) to provide nitrogen/helium leak detection testing services for its new process facilities on Tapti field, India.
BGEPIL owns a 30% interest in the joint venture that is executing the NRPOD pipeline project in the Tapti gas field offshore India . The NRPOD pipeline network gathers gas from Tapti field and the surrounding area. The infield lines run from the new MTA wellhead platform to the central TCPP platform where it is processed. It is then exported via 36-inch and 42-inch ONGC pipelines to the Hazira gas plant.
All process systems located on Tapti field will be tested for any leakage with 99% nitrogen and 1% helium. For maximum safety, testing will be carried out while the systems are inert. By ensuring that no leaks exist, BJ PPS will eliminate the risk of possible leaks arising during start-up of the pipeline network.
Primary management of the BGEPIL leak-testing contract is being carried out at the BJ PPS regional headquarters in Dubai , with operational support provided through its branch offices situated in Mumbai and Baroda , in India . BJ PPS commenced work on the contract this month. Completion of the operations is scheduled for late summer 2007.
