RBG names Middle East area manager

RBG has been active in the Middle East for over 10 years and operates in the region together with its Joint Venture partner, Salam Petroleum Services, under the name Salam RBG Qatar (SRQ).

Based at the SRQ operations base in Doha , Qatar , Bonner reports to RBG's International Director and is responsible for managing and developing the company's existing business in the Middle East region.

Previously, he spent 6 years as Managing Director ( Eastern Hemisphere ) for Randy Smith Training Solutions and he has a background of over 20 years' experience in engineering support services. Originally from the Aberdeen area, Bonner is married with three children.

Bonner takes over from the previous incumbent, Alan Morrison, who is returning to Aberdeen after several years in the Middle East , to take up the role of International Support Manager in RBG's Mechanical Services division.

From its base in Doha , SRQ delivers its asset integrity support, mechanical and inspection services to many operating company clients throughout the region. The company is involved in projects such as well service support operations, construction activities, and essential maintenance during platform and refinery shutdowns. In common with other RBG locations, the Doha base operates to RBG's Quality Management System, which is independently certified to ISO 9001:2000.
