Lamprell wins $33 million in new contracts

UAE-based Lamprell Plc has won topside and process module fabrication contracts from Kanfa AS, DP Producer AS, and Scana AMT and jackup rig refurbishment contracts from Saipem ( Portugal ) Comercio Maritimo, Noble International Limited, Aban 7 Pte. Limited, and Nabors Drilling International Limited. The total value of these contracts is expected to exceed $33 million.

Process modules for Kanfa AS Lamprell has been awarded an initial contract of $8.86 million for the procurement, fabrication and assembly of process modules for the Knock Allan conversion project by Kanfa AS for the Fred Olsen Production Knock Allan tanker. On completion the vessel will be installed as a Floating Production Storage & Offloading facility ("FPSO") offshore Gabon , West Africa and will provide process storage and offloading facilities for CNR International Limited on the Olowi field.

Process modules, quarters extension, and Dis-connectable Riser Buoy installation for DP Producer AS and Scana AMT.

DP Producer AS and Scana AMT have collectively awarded Lamprell contracts valued at $13.9 million for the fabrication of topside process modules, a quarters extension and a new technology Dis-connectable Riser Buoy ("DRB") designed by Scana for first use on DP Producer's Deep Producer dynamically positioned FPSO. Delivery is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2007.

Jackup rig refurbishment

Lamprell has secured jackup rig refurbishment contracts valued cumulatively at US$5.7 million for the Saipem rig Perro Negro II, the Noble Drilling rig Kenneth Delaney and the Aban rig Aban VII. Lamprell also received an offshore rig upgrade award valued at US$4.25 million from Nabors Drilling International Limited for a comprehensive suite of modifications and repairs to its rig 145, now renamed the 867.

Lamprell has played a role in the development of the offshore industry in the Arabian Gulf for over 30 years, in later years providing specialized services to the offshore oil and gas industry. Lamprell's two primary facilities are in Port Khalid, in the Emirate of Sharjah, and in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, in the Emirate of Dubai, both of which are in the UAE. The principal markets in which Lamprell operates, and the principal services it provides, are: upgrade and refurbishment of offshore jackup rigs; new build construction for the offshore oil and gas sector, including FPSOs and other offshore and onshore structures; and oilfield engineering services, including the upgrade and refurbishment of land rigs.
