ECQ and a leading steel pipe manufacturer sign mega deal

Energy City Qatar ’s Chief Executive Officer, Hesham Al Emadi and the Hyojong Industrial President, Yousef Ahmed Al Kuwari signed a land and development deal worth QR 65 million at the Energy City Qatar ’s office last week.

Hyojong Industrial is an alliance between the Qatar Promotion Board represented by Sheikh Hamad Bin Abdoulaziz Al-Thani and the original Korean owner Ma. The company is now at the point driven by Qatari ingenuity and Korean technology. It is also Qatar ’s first steel pipe exporter and has internationally acquired many certifications, a proof of their quality of products and services. It has provided facilities to the Ras Laffan Industrial City especially for Qatar Petroleum’s Ras Laffan Cooling Water Project Phase I RLCCWP.

Hyojong is one of the Qatar ’s biggest manufacturing companies in the private sector with an investment of over 200 million Qatari Riyals. Hyojong President, Yousef Ahmed Al Kuwari said “this deal is a step towards realising our ambitious plans and immense growth not only in the local market but also abroad. Hyojong’s quality manufacturing with Energy City Qatar’s vision to establish a sustainable setup for the Oil and Gas industry demonstrates our commitment to excellence and quality end product, and this deal will further boost our relationship.” “ Energy City Qatar is an exceptional project in which we as a company take great pride in investing. There values, objectives and dealings are in conjunction with ours in providing the best to the new home of Oil and Gas industry for the Middle East”, he added.

Energy City Qatar , which will cover an area of approximately 1.2 million square metres, is a realised futuristic vision, in line with the Qatar government’s drive to create a comprehensive home for the Gulf’s energy industry and those who work in it.

Commenting on the deal Hesham Al Emadi said “This is a significant deal for Energy City Qatar , as it proves that we are a force to be reckoned with in near future, and more alliances like these will further advance our ambitious plans that are in the pipeline.

Al Emadi added “The experience of Hyojong in providing quality tailored products to the energy business related projects and its 20 years of expertise provides an extra edge to our partners in Energy city. We eagerly look forward to working with the world class manufacturers in achieving a landmark success in this outstanding project”.
