Gasco awards contract

The Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd. (Gasco) has confirmed the award of the contract for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and pre-commissioning works for its Offshore Associated Gases (OAG) Package 2 - Offshore Pipeline Project to M/s National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) at a lump sum price of US$241 Million (Dh870 dirhams).
The Letter of Award was issued in Abu Dhabi on 14/2/2007. The project will be managed from NPCC offices in Abu Dhabi and is scheduled for completion within twenty nine (29) months including pre-commissioning. The OAG Package 2 project is a major project and is one of the EPC Packages within the overall scheme of Offshore Associated Gases Projects launched by Adnoc.
The project is designed to transport 211 Million Standard Cubic Feet of gas per Day after dehydration at Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company (Adgas) facilities in Das Island to onshore Abu Dhabi for further transportation to GASCO processing plants at Habshan.
The offshore pipeline shall be 117 Km long with a 30-inch diameter and shall have additional capacity to transport more gases from future offshore projects. Gasco implements this project on behalf of Adnoc with support of M/s Parsons Energy and Chemicals Group as an independent Project Management Consultant. |
