Hydrolink FZE announced the opening of their new Corporate Headquarters and Logistics, Engineering, Assembly and Development (LEAD) Facility at Jebel Ali.
Located in Jebel Ali Free Zone South, the facility brings a new concept to Fluid Engineering in the Middle East .
Hydrolink will manage the logistics of fluid engineering components, on behalf of component manufacturers, from around the globe, ensuring their products are available for customers throughout the Middle East and Central Asia . A large engineering team is based at the LEAD centre to design value added products from the stocked components andthe resulting products are then assembled at the Hydrolink facility.
The total solution is further supported by a Development and Training team who offer education on fluid power applications and product training for end users and distributors.
The 150,000 sq ft facility will initially build hydraulic power packs, spooler systems, high and ultra high pressure pump sets for the marine, oil and gas and industrial sectors.
The introduction of the LEAD facility keeps Hydrolink at the forefront of the Fluid Engineering industry and marks the beginning of an ambitious investment throughout the Middle East .
Hydrolink management said this is the first step in an expansion plan that includes further development in Jebel Ali, new facilities in Sharjah, extension of activities in Saudi Arabia and the provision of a full range of Fluid Power services in Qatar .
The companies commitment to excellence is echoed in their investment in a Fluid Power Training Centre as part of the LEAD facility. The training centre has four classrooms, two labs and access to the facilities assembly and test facilities to provide students with a thorough understanding of fluid power application engineering.
Hydrolink will offer an opportunity to develop Fluid Power knowledge and practical skills through a combination of theory and ´hands-onĦ learning modules. Hydrolink can draw on its vast experience and couple that with access to the worlds leading manufacturers to further assist students in obtaining the highest standards of Fluid Power understanding.
The combination of component availability, engineering competence and assembly skills allows Hydrolink to offer an unparalleled end-to-end supply chain solution. The overall goal of the new facility is to offer higher quality package solutions while reducing lead times and placing products closer to market.
The facility operates a modified Japanese kanban production process which is an excellent example of the integrated kanban system. The process flows minimise
the amount of product in the assembly area, resulting in a safer, more productive, environment.
A spokesperson for Hydrolink stated that ´the new LEAD facility in Jebel Ali is testimony to Hydrolinks position as the regions Leaders in Fluid Engineering. It will allow us to better respond to customers needs while maintaing the high quality that is synonymous with the Hydrolink brand. A fluid power centre of excellence, of this magnitude, is overdue in the region and Hydrolink are proud to set the standards for the futureĦ. |
