SK Corp seeks stronger oil cooperation with UAE

UAE Energy Minister Mohammed bin Dhaen Al Hamili received in Abu Dhabi, Chief Executive Officer of South Korea's SK Corp Chey Tae-won. At the meeting, Al Hamili and Tae-Won discussed cooperation in oil exploration and refining operations between UAE oil operating companies and SK Corp. Tae-Won stressed that 80% of SK Corp's crude imports come from the Gulf region in general with the UAE on top of exporters to South Korea's largest refiner. Tae-Won's current visit to the UAE is part of the South Korean company's efforts to boost oil cooperation with Gulf countries. Established in 1962, SK Corp currently have oil production and development projects in 14 African, Asian and Latin American countries with a current workforce of 5134 workers.
