Energy Resource Technology Inc., a subsidiary of Helix Energy Solutions, Houston, has acquired the Typhoon Field (Green Canyon Blocks 236/237), the Boris Field (Green Canyon Block 282) and the Little Burn Field (Green Canyon Block 238) from Chevron U.S.A. Inc., San Ramon, Calif., BHP Billiton, Melbourne, Australia, and Noble Energy Inc., Houston for an undisclosed amount.

The Typhoon and Boris fields have been shut-in since the Typhoon platform was damaged by Hurricane Rita. Prior to the storm, the combined production from two Typhoon wells and two Boris wells averaged approximately 13,000 barrels of oil and 21 million cubic feet gas per day. Typhoon #4, a new well, was tested at 7,700 barrels of oil per day last September.
