Rasgas names new chief

RasGas Company Limited on Tuesday announced the appointment of Dr Mohamed Saleh Al Sada as the companyÿs new managing director.
Al Sada replaced Alex Dodds, who has filled the position since January 2005. Dodds will join ExxonMobil Qatar as president and general manager and will continue serving as a director on all RasGas companies.
Al Sada joins RasGas after having served as director technical at Qatar Petroleum where he directed a myriad of oil and gas in addition to related infrastructure projects. His professional experience spans over 23 years of service with Qatar Petroleum where he successfully managed diverse key corporate departments.
Within the energy industry, the new RasGas MD sits on the Board of both Qatar Chemicals Company (Q-Chem) and Qatar Steel Company (QASCO) as Vice-Chairman.
Throughout his professional career Al-Sada has been actively engaged within the Qatari community and has served as a member of several distinguished committees and organizations, including the Permanent Constitution Preparation Committee, the Supreme Education Council and the National Committee for Human Rights.
He holds a PhD from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), in UK.
