Halliburton’s manager receives women excellence award

Ingrid Robinson, manager of Halliburton’s Global Supplier Diversity Pr ogramme, was selected as one of the “100 Women Impacting Supplier Diversity” and as one of the 2005 Women of Excellence honorees by Women’s Enterprise magazine. The magazine is a national bi-monthly news publication targeted to corporate professionals and women’s business enterprises.
“The 100 Women Impacting Supplier Diversity is the first and only list to honor 100 corporate women in America who are recognized by their peers as best-in-class leaders and mentors in the supplier diversity arena,” said Lori Layl of Women’s Enterprise .
“Honorees and their corporations were selected based on their continued presence in the supplier diversity arena, with particular focus on efforts within the last year. Included in this group are executive women who consistently participate in and create activities to develop women business owners and companies that stand at the forefront of diversity initiatives.”
Robinson joined Halliburton in 2005 with 12 years of experience in minority and women’s business development with corporate, government and non-profit organizations. In her role, she is responsible for developing and executing initiatives to enhance Halliburton’s Supplier Diversity Pr ogram.
“The experience and insight that Ingrid brings to this position has enabled us to focus on increased procurement opportunities and business growth initiatives for minority, women, and small business owners,” said Mark McDaniel, vice president of Strategic Pr ocurement and Logistics for Supply Chain Management, Halliburton. “We are proud to have her as a member of the team.”

Robinson has a bachelor of science degree in political science from the University of Houston and is involved in numerous professional organizations, including the National Minority Supplier Development Council and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and its regional affiliates in Houston , Dallas/Fort Worth, Oklahoma , Louisiana , and Southern C ali fornia .
