Foster Wheeler Ltd has for the fourth consecutive year, won the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) President's Award for Occupational Health and Safety.
The award presented companies which have achieved a minimum of one RoSPA Gold Award every year for the last ten years.
"The award is a clear and visible demonstration of our continuing companywide commitment to maintaining the highest level of excellence in health and safety," said Steve Davies, chairman and chief executive officer, Foster Wheeler Energy Limited. "We are committed to continuous improvement in all areas, and health and safety is no exception. The most recent example of this is the successful implementation of our behavioural-based health, safety and environmental (HSE) process, CORE, or Continuous Observation and Risk Evaluation. This has already delivered tangible benefits, delivering further improvements in our already excellent HSE performance on sites all around the world."
The RoSPA awards encourage the reduction in the number of accidents and cases of ill health at work and encourage organizations to have good health and safety management systems in place.
Since its first year of participation in the awards program, Foster Wheeler has won 25 RoSPA awards across a number of different categories.
