A gas system that switches gas to liquefied gas at the flick of a switch was launched recently by Thermo Electron.

Called the EGM II, this new gas introduction module is designed to provide for increased laboratory safety and reduced analysis time. The user-friendly multi-element of EGM II switches gas to liquefied gas at the flick of a switch without the need for tools. The complete c alibration range can be set up by using one c alibration gas and a semi-automatic multiple injection sequence.

For both gas and liquefied gas applications, the sample loop can be filled and injected automatically up to 99 times in a single measurement cycle. EGM II removes the need for handling multiple gases to set up a c alibration curve.

It is equipped with pressure and temperature regulators and has achieved enhanced accuracy of Total chlorine, Total sulphur and Total nitrogen analyses.
