Zamil Steel awarded $9.2 million KOC contract

Zamil Steel was awarded a $9.2 million contract to supply Kuwait Oil Company’s OL2K Ethylene Project (Olefins 2 Kuwait) with fabricated structural steel products and process equipment.
Zamil Steel’s Structural Steel Business Unit will manufacture and supply pipe racks and large pressure vessels as a subcontractor to Technip of Italy, the main contractor for the project.
Ayman Kanaan, General Manager, Structural Steel Business Unit, Zamil Steel said: “ Production is scheduled to begin imminently and delivery of structural steel and process equipment works is expected to be completed between the end of the year and the first quarter of 2007.”
Adnan Al Mansour, Executive Vice President, Zamil Steel added: ““Zamil Steel is expanding again to meet increased global demand for innovative building solutions. We have started construction of a brand new facility in the Gulf, while work is well underway on another plant in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam , to consolidate our leading position is South East Asia .”
