Emerson Process Management has introduced a new mass flow transmitter that reduces process variability and decreases installation costs.
The Rosemount 3095 MultiVariable mass flowmeter delivers four measurements from one device: pressure, differential pressure, temperature, and the derived fully compensated mass flow. A single MultiVariable mass flowmeter installation reduces multiple process penetrations, inventory, and installation costs.
The new flowmeter is equipped with Foundation fieldbus communications technology. It is an extension to the company’s Rosemount 3095 platform, and an addition to the intelligent field device function ality of Emerson PlantWeb digital plant architecture.
The comprehensive suite of Foundation fieldbus function blocks in the Rosemount 3095 helps power PlantWeb to improve plant efficiency by 2 per cent and more. Users can eliminate the costs associated with complex programming by using the mass flow block to calculate fully compensated mass flow, and tot alise in the field with the integrator block.
