Getenergy is set to bring together providers of education and training to the upstream oil and gas with national and international oil and gas operators in Dubai on 27-29 March 2006.
The event, focused exclusively on education, training and skills development in the upstream industry, is supported by champion sponsor Shell along with other sponsors the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Operations (ADCO), Statoil and Repsol YPF.
Getenergy 2006 will feature a series of receptions, Summits, interactive exchanges, case study workshops and an exhibition of the world's leading providers of training including universities from UAE, Kazakhstan, North and South America, Norway, China, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Australia and the UK.
The global event in Dubai is part of Getenergy's wider initiative to bring providers of training and education programmes together with oil and gas companies globally. The objective is to exchange new ideas on learning and people development throughout the industry with a particular focus on national oil companies and providers from developing countries.
Getenergy CEO Phil Andrews said: "Getenergy believes that it is the capability of people in the energy industry that will drive oil exploration and production. This sponsorship is a clear sign of the increasing importance of education and training to the future of the oil and gas industry.”
