Conference chairs announced

Art Meyer, Vice President Technology, Enbridge Pipelines Inc will chair the 6th International Pipeline Conference in Calgary, Canada on 25-29 September 2006. Meyer is also the president of Gateway Pipeline, a new major pipeline development that is set to increase access to Pacific Rim markets. He has, during his 25 years in the industry, directed the operation of major pipeline systems across Canada and the United States. He also serves on several North American and International Boards and Acts as chair of the Canadian Standards Association Steering Committee that oversees petroleum and natural gas industry system standards.
Carlos Tadeu da Costa Fraga, Head of Petrobras R&D and Basic Engineering, on the other hand will be the Vice Chairman. Fraga has been in charge of major deepwater operations in both Brazil and the Gulf of Mexico. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and has participated in technical and managerial training programmes around the world.
The highlights of which include Petroleum Engineering at the University of Alberta; BusinessManagement at Columbia University, New York; Technology Management at INSEAD in France and Strategic Leadership at the London Business School.
The 6th International Pipeline Conference, the largest gathering of pipeline professionals in the world, will be held at the. An anticipated 1100 delegates will have the opportunity to choose from over 300 quality papers in 12 Technical Tracks; listen to international keynote speakers and participate in a variety of panels,poster sessions and tutorials all pertaining to the future of the pipeline industry.
In conjunction with IPC, there will be an International Pipeline Exposition (IPE) with 200 exhibiting companies from around the world providing attendees with the latest in equipment, techniques and services.
