TransGlobe Energy has made a new oil discovery well on Block 32 in Yemen. The Godah1 well was drilled to a total depth of 1,841 metres and was completed as an oil well with a flowing rate of 1,839 barrels of oil per day and 4.4 million cubic feet of gas per day. No water was produced with the oil.
Godah1 was the first well drilled on the Godah structure. It was also the first of twelve exploration wells planned for 2006 on TransGlobe's four international projects.
