Adyard Abu Dhabi, an oil and gas subsidiary of Topaz Energy and Marine Ltd was awarded a $ 4.5 million contract by Glasgow based VWS Westgarth Ltd for the fabrication of two modules, an SRP Module and a Utility/Chemical Injection Module.
The contract, which involves the fabrication, load out and transportation of the two modules to Dubai Dry-dock for the installation on the FPSO Vitoria, marks the entry of Adyard into the international market for the fabrication of FPSO topsides
The work will be executed in Adyard’s 80,000 square metre water front facility in Mussafah in seven months.
Jim Masterton, General Manager, Adyard, said: “The contract, which is expected to commence immediately, was won against fierce international competition and considering that this was our international debut, bidding for the fabrication of FPSO topsides, we are confident that there will be more FPSO related fabrication work to follow.”
