DNO sees strong oil shows from Nabrajah 9

DNO reports that the Nabrajah 9 well which was spud on 24 November last year reached the basement at a depth of 2176 metres and continued to drill at approximately 2430 metres.
Approximately 250 metres of basement have been penetrated in the well. Strong to very strong oil shows and gas readings have been observed in several intervals while drilling.
The significance of these oil shows will be evaluated with a comprehensive wireline logging program and production testing once the well has reached the total depth.
Nabrajah 9 is located 2.7 kilometres north west of the basement oil discovery well, Nabrajah 5.
The objective of Nabrajah 9 is to appraise the basement oil accumulation and to provide oil production from the fractured basement reservoir.
The participants in the Nabrajah 9 well are DNO as operator with 56.67 per cent; Oil Search ( Yemen) Limited with 28.33 per centand The Yemen Company with a carried interest of 15 per cent.
