Aberdeen-based WTR, who provide engineered composite pipe repair services to the oil and gas industry, as well as water, defence, power and other industrial sectors, has secured a major contract win with the Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO) worth a seven figure sum. This two year contract signifies the rapid expansion of WTR into the fast growing Egyptian market.

:: Topaz subsidiary in AED 73 million Mermaid 'Thai Up'

Nico Middle East Ltd., the Dubai-based Offshore Vessel owners and operators announced that it has signed a charter-party agreement with International sub sea services contractor Mermaid Offshore Services of Thailand for its maintenance support vessel, Team Siam. The two year contract is valued at over AED 73 million and is an extension of an earlier charter-party contract with Mermaid.

The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) affiliate, the SAUDI KAYAN Petrochemical Company (SAUDI KAYAN) signed on April 30, 2007 a Letter of Award (LOA) with the Chinese HUANQIU Contracting & Engineering Corp. (HQCEC) for the construction of a new High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plant at its complex in Al-Jubail Industrial City.

:: New corporate signature unites StatoilHydro

Statoil and Hydro have approved the corporate signature for StatoilHydro. The signature will be adopted as soon as the planned merger has been completed and will be used until a new name and logo are available.
