Dolphin Energy Limited, owned 51% by Mubadala Development Company on behalf of the Government of Abu Dhabi - and 24.5 % each by Total of France and Occidental Petroleum of the USA , said the company is currently testing its gas receiving and distribution facilities at Taweelah, Abu Dhabi , UAE.

The Board of Directors of S-Oil Corporation, an affiliate of Aramco Overseas Company B.V. (AOC), a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), agreed to sell 31.9 million treasury shares, previously owned by Ssangyong Cement Co. Ltd., to Hanjin Energy Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of the Hanjin Group incorporated under the laws of Korea (Hanjin Energy).

In a historic alliance, Sonatrach the national Algerian oil and gas company has today signed in Algeria an agreement with Mubadala Development Company, a wholly owned investment and development vehicle of the Government of Abu Dhabi and Dubai Aluminium Company (DUBAL), wholly owned by the Government of Dubai to develop the country's first aluminium smelter.

Fugro has signed a letter of intent to acquire 100% of the shares in MAPS Geosystems (MAPS). The transaction is subject to contract finalization and is expected to be completed in April 2007.

Siemens Power Generation (PG) has received two orders for compressor trains for oil and gas projects in Qatar and Nigeria . Five gas turbine-driven compressor trains are destined for the Danish company Maersk Oil Qatar AS, Qatar . Two gensets and three power generation trains were ordered by Daewoo E&C of South Korea for a project in Nigeria . The total order value is approximately EUR120 million.
