Crosco Integrated Drilling & Well Services Co. announced the commencement of drilling services for Gulfsands Petroleum PLC in Syria . Drilling services are being provided with Crosco's 2000 HP drilling rig EMSCO 602 (Emsco C-2 II). Currently, Crosco is drilling the Khurbet East exploration well KHE 1.

Calibre Energy said that the Bina-Bawi 1 exploration well, located in Iraqi Kurdistan, was waiting on material and testing equipment for the planned testing of the well.

:: DNO updates progress of 2007 Yemen drilling program

DNO has an extensive drilling program in Yemen during 2007 and rig capacity has been secured for all the wells. A total of 22 wells are planned to be drilled this year; 13 exploration wells and 9 appraisal / development wells. To date three exploration wells and one infill well have been completed.

:: ExxonMobil completes expansion of ethylene capacity in Singapore

ExxonMobil Chemical said it has completed the expansion of its steam cracker in Singapore . The expansion project, announced in 2005, has increased the ethylene capacity of the world-scale Singapore Chemical Plant by 75,000 tonnes per year to more than 900,000 tonnes per year.
