:: UAE second top oil supplier to Japan

Japan oil dependence on the United Arab Emirates reached 27.7% (34.03 million barrel) of Japan 's total oil imports. According to Japan 's Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, the UAE ranked second after Saudi Arabia which delivered 36.23 million barrel (29.5% of Japan crude imports).

National Oil Corporation announced two new oil discoveries. One was made by Zueitina Oil Company, acting as Operator for NOC, Occidental and OMV, in Block NC74A, located south west of the Sirte sedimentary basin.

Hydro, in cooperation with Statoil and ExxonMobil, has entered into two parallel frame agreements with GE Energy Services ( Norway ) og MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg ( Germany ) for the repair and maintenance of gas turbines, type GE LM2500. The contracts will cover gas turbines installed both onshore and offshore in the Norwegian sector.

Saudi Aramco executives Monday hosted a symposium attended by almost 80 Chinese companies involved in contracting and manufacturing. The goal of the symposium was to inform the companies about the extraordinary opportunities open to them through Saudi Aramco's massive capital programs.
