Gulf International Bank (GIB) has arranged a $ 234.5 million loan for Oman Gas Company. The loan agreement was signed on Tuesday. GIB was the original mandated lead arranger/sole underwriter, facility agent and security trustee of this transaction.

During the early morning of September 15, the Nexen operated Ash Shihr oil export terminal in the Republic of Yemen was assaulted by two explosive laden vehicles. One worker was killed in the attack and two others received minor injuries.

:: Emerald begins Tigris prospect

Emerald Energy has begun drilling on the Tigris prospect located in the northeast region of Block 26 directly underlying the Souedieh Field, the largest known oil field in Syria . The Tigris No.1 exploration well is expected to take 90 to 120 days to drill and evaluate. It will be a vertical well drilled to an approximate depth of 4,500 meters.
